PTS provided design services for the Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU) E. Northern Lights Blvd Water Rehabilitation, Augustine Drive to Muldoon Road project. AWWU’s goal is to extend the operational life of this system by rehabilitating or replacing the water mainline. AWWU offered bidders the option for open trench excavation or Cured In-Place Pipe (CIPP) for a portion of the project. Other project improvements will include the addition of a fire hydrant and replacing an existing hydrant.

This section of the water main is buried relatively deep, forcing this portion of E. Northern Lights Blvd. to be closed for the duration of the project. Temporary water service was be provided to adjacent businesses/property owners. The project was completed in August of July 2020.
